ACTA’s in-house training program is designed to meet the needs of all employees and management. Based on their internal audits of ACTA’s safety system, the Department of Transportation has determined that the Driver Training Program is outstanding. Their audits include an observation of ACTA drivers to determine if they are using the approved methods which have been taught.
All employees and management receive First Aid and CPR training, and additional training based on government regulations. This includes such subjects as hazard communication on workplace chemicals, drug and alcohol policies, blood-borne pathogens, proper use of personal protective equipment, fire prevention, and responding to any emergencies which might occur. Annual refresher training is provided for everyone and an on-the-road performance evaluation for all drivers is also conducted that is designed to determine any improvements which might be needed.
